The story of Patrick Flaherty, a graduate of the College of William & Mary, who now works for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In the early fall of 2014, he was sent to Liberia to help with the U.S.’s efforts to quell the deadly Ebola outbreak. While the outbreak is still raging in Sierra Leone and Guinea, the U.S.’s efforts in Liberia have been more successful.

Here’s my profile of Flaherty for the winter edition of the College of William & Mary’s alumni magazine, W & M. See story here.
